ACTION, Inc. is a Community Action Partnership Agency which has roots dating back to the 1960’s. Envisioned by President John F. Kennedy and furthered by President Lyndon B. Johnson, the mission to end poverty began through the development of the Community Services Block Grant. Poverty has continued to grow despite many human services development programs over the decades.
ACTION, Inc. dedicated our innovative focus to attack poverty by offering a hands-up approach and by partnering, both for the short- and long-term, with individuals, to strategically identify ways in which they can achieve their fullest potential, through education and education-based training, in order to support themselves and their families.
OUR MISSION
To help individuals and families break the cycle of poverty and achieve their greatest potential.
OUR VISION
ACTION, Inc. will be a forerunner in the development and continuance of innovative programs and services to positively impact people’s lives through the elimination of poverty and the establishment of sustainability.
